Inspiring Excellence
Uniting Asia
As the official continental organization of the International Taekwon-Do Federation Union, ITF Union Asia is committed to promoting authentic ITF Taekwon-Do, supporting its National Associations, and developing future generations of practitioners through education, leadership, and international cooperation.
The Five Tenets of Taekwon-Do
The Five Tenets of Taekwon-Do, established by General Choi Hong Hi, form the moral foundation of every practitioner. These timeless principles guide our conduct, training, leadership, and commitment to the true spirit of ITF Taekwon-Do.
Courtesy (Ye Ui)
Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and consideration. Courtesy promotes humility, good manners, and harmonious relationships both inside and outside the Dojang.
Integrity (Yom Chi)
Always act with honesty, fairness, and strong moral character. Integrity requires practitioners to distinguish right from wrong and uphold ethical principles in every action.
Perseverance (In Nae)
Develop the determination to overcome challenges and never give up in the pursuit of personal growth, technical excellence, and lifelong learning.
Self-Control (Guk Gi)
Maintain discipline over one's thoughts, emotions, and actions. Self-control enables practitioners to remain calm and focused, even in the face of adversity or provocation.
Indomitable Spirit (Baekjul Boolgool)
Stand firm in the face of adversity with unwavering courage and conviction. Indomitable spirit drives practitioners to overcome any obstacle with relentless determination and inner strength.
